2022 Book List

Favorite book of the year: My favorite read of the year was Seven Days in June by Tia Williams. Another year that a fiction book has taken the cake. Fiction books were a great escape for me this year with all of the essays and case studies I’ve had to read. I grabbed it in the Denver airport right before my flight back to NYC, and expected to read a few pages and then knockout like I typically do, but I could not put it down! It’s about a rekindled relationship between lovers who have not seen each other in 20 years that is sure to tug on your heartstrings. If you enjoy this read, you may also want to check out The Perfect Find which is also by Tia Williams. The novel has been adapted to film and will be hitting Netflix sometime in 2023 with Gabrielle Union and Keith Powers being cast as the main characters.

Most insightful read of the year: The most insightful read of the year was All About Love by bell hooks.
